A Family Hike

David had the day/night off from work yesterday so we were able to get out of town and go for a hike on the Lost Valley trail in Ponca, near the Buffalo River. It was just the right length of trail with Owen in tow at around 2 mi. We were amazed that we enjoyed the trail and scenery just as much as any trail in Colorado! We would like to go back sometime with flashlights so we can see the 35 ft waterfall inside Eden Falls Cave. We were able to venture inside just a little bit but it was pretty wet and dark. The cave is said to go back about 200 ft. Owen had a ball riding on dad's back looking around. He was squealing in delight and really loves being outdoors.
