These days....Owen is growing up and learning how to use his imagination. He likes to explore mommy and daddy's closet and you never know what he might come out wearing. Here he is wearing mommy's shoes and daddy's hat. Sometimes he'll even grab a bag and say he's going to the store. Today, I caught him giving his tickle me Elmo doll a time-out! Priceless!
It seems like Owen has a new favorite book every few weeks. This month he has requested to read THE GIVING TREE multiple times. I caught him reading this out loud to himself just before bedtime. He likes to 'read' us the stories too, and he has them memorized surprisingly well. Owen also learned his "ABC's" this month. And he has enjoyed visiting the library for toddler story time. They sing songs and stories are read aloud. Owen spent a week with Nana and Papa Kalvik in Story City, Iowa this month all by himself!
He had a great time and didn't get homesick until the day before he came home. Below are just a few of his many activities. He also visited the local park, pool, and carousel, not to mention the Des Moines Zoo! WHEW!! Thanks, Papa and Nana (mommy and daddy had a nice relaxing vacation at home)!
