My Favorite Christian Authors

Here is a short list of my favorite Christian authors, based on their creativity and lucidity. It is an absolute joy to read their works, and I encourage you to share in this experience, if you haven't already:

1. Mortimer Adler (How to Read a Book; Ten Philosophical Mistakes; How to Think About God; Truth in Religion)
2. C.S. Lewis (Mere Christianity; The Screwtape Letters; The Chronicles of Narnia; Miracles)
3. John Piper (Desiring God; Future Grace; Let the Nations Be Glad; The Pleasures of God)
4. Alvin Plantinga (God and Other Minds; Warranted Christian Belief; God, Freedom, and Evil)
5. Dallas Willard (The Divine Conspiracy; Renovation of the Heart; The Spirit of the Disciplines)
6. Os Guinness (Fit Bodies, Fat Minds; No Time for Truth; Prophetic Untimeliness)
7. John Eldredge (The Sacred Romance; Wild At Heart, Waking the Dead)

Hey Dustin,

Maybe me publishing so much means that I have nothing better to do with my time. Merry Christmas to you as well.

When Adler wrote that book he wasn't a Christian. He converted later in life, and it's really a interesting story. You can tell in the book that he respects Christianity yet hasn't accepted it as the truth.

He is not the most entertaining writer, but he is so clear and straightforward in how he explains difficult concepts--that's why he made my list.

Also, when you're finished with that book, if it's really How to Think About God, I would be interested to buy it from you, assuming that it's a hardcover version.
